Frequently Asked Questions

If I already have medical insurance, do I still get Sanitas? 

Yes. All SLU Madrid undergraduate students who are actively registered for courses are automatically enrolled in the Multi Sanitas Health Insurance Plan.  You may continue to use your own insurance if you wish, but all students are required to be covered by Sanitas.


How long does coverage last?

Students are covered for the entire semester as long as they are actively enrolled in classes at Saint Louis University.  Coverage is as follows:

Summer 1: May – June

Summer 2: June – July

Fall: August – December

Spring: January – May

Cards will be available for pick up at the beginning of each semester at the Department of Student Life.


What do I do if I lose my Sanitas card?
