Campus Ambassador
What is a Campus Ambassador?
Campus Ambassadors are student representatives who will commit to upholding the mission of Saint Louis University in the performance of their duties and in carrying out their daily life.  In return for their service, SLU Madrid Ambassadors will be recognized as leaders in the University community and will have unique opportunities for personal and professional development.
What can I get out of being a Campus Ambassador?

  • Recognition as a University leader
  • A chance to be your University’s official student representative
  • An opportunity to meet and network with community leaders
  • Exclusive attendance at specially designed personal and professional development workshops

All Campus Ambassadors will assist in orientation and commencement.  Ambassadors will be asked to volunteer for four additional events per semester.

For more information, please contact Student Life at studentlife@madrid.slu.edu

FILM CLUB

We watch movies! New movies (at the cinema), old movies (on DVD, some of them with stylish titlecards), international films, the works of auteurs, genre bendings, mind-blowing trivia questions, and generalized iconoclasms are all part of the arrangement. We meet 4 or 5 times per semester with informal --- but high-spirited --- discussion to follow the screenings. Recent themes that we have taken up have been "The Science Fiction Film" (Autumn 2003: e.g., METROPOLIS, 2001), "Films About Writers" (Spring 2004: e.g., MOULIN ROUGE, SUNSET BOULEVARD) and "The Films of Alfred Hitchcock" (Autumn 2004: PSYCHO, THE LODGER).
Current Autumn 2007 theme: "The Films of Michael Winterbottom."
Everyone (undergraduates, graduates, faculty, friends) is welcome to take part!
