Incidents 2006

30 October 2006

We've learned of two
incidents this past weekend of female students being stalked and physically assaulted as they walked alone in the evening – one on a nearby street in the immediate area of the campus (Calle de las Brisas) and another in the entry way into an apartment on Calle Galileo (Moncloa district). Both assailants fled when fought off. We remind students to be aware of their surroundings at all times and to avoid being alone at night. Please remember that any student in the immediate vicinity of the University who needs help or would like an escort at night is welcome to phone our on-duty watchman at 646 640 824. Further, in the event of any assault, we recommend that students phone 091 as quickly as possible to help police apprehend a fleeing assailant.

Please contact the Office of Student Services for additional information.
