Saint Louis University-Madrid Campus recognizes both the TOEFL® and IELTS® exams. For level placement in our programs, please refer to ESL Placement.
In order to study at Saint Louis University, all non-native English speakers (including those from countries where English is an official but not native language) must produce a recognized score to show their language level. If new students do not already have a recognized test score, they have the possibility of taking a TOEFL® Institutional Paper-based Test and a TWE® exam on entry to the university (see exam dates below).
Remember that these external test scores will only be accepted if accompanied by an official certificate, a record of which will be kept in the student's file in the Registrar's Office.
TOEFL® Institutional Paper-based Test
Our campus offers the Institutional paper-based TOEFL® and TWE® exam to non-native English-speaking students who are entering, or who are currently studying at Saint Louis University-Madrid Campus.
If you are currently a student at the Madrid campus, and you have no recognized English language placement score, please register for this exam, and pay the exam fee of 40€, in the Finance office. If you are a new student who needs placement in the university courses, please contact hbinns@slu.edu
This exam is for internal usage, and is not necessarily recognized by other institutions.
