Specialization

Since January 2007 Susana Vázquez Cupeiro is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Applied Economics, University Complutense of Madrid.
She has been coordinator of research projects, from 2005 to 2006, at the National College of Political Science and Sociology of Madrid.
She has been actively involved, during 2000-2003, in the European Research and Training Network “Women in European Universities,” sponsored by the European Commission; and, as a result, she has undertaken research at Royal Holloway-University of London (UK), Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail (France) and University Complutense of Madrid (Spain).
Her research interests focus on gender, power and policy in academia, ICT and digital divide, welfare state and gendered budgetary policies, and sociology of international relations.
