Ms Hutchison has taught all levels of grammar, listening and writing classes. In the past, she has worked as a volunteer English teacher in Laos, then EFL and ESP teacher in England and Turkey, before coming to Spain in 1980. Here in Madrid, Ms. Hutchison has set up and coordinated courses in various places, most recently British Council, Instituto de Empresa and Spanish Foreign Ministry. The Head of English Teaching in the Madrid Diplomatic School since 1985, she joined the Madrid Campus of Saint Louis University in 1990.
An authorised Cambridge Oral Examiner since 1980 and Member of Examination Board of Spanish Foreign Ministry, Ms. Hutchison has translated various documents for the Diplomatic School and other official organizations. She has also given presentations at conferences and EFL centres on ESP, EAP, Literature and cultural aspects of Scotland.
