Work grant information

Madrid Work Grant Awards

Each semester the University makes available a limited number of work grant campus jobs. Students work in departments throughout the University for up to ten hours/week in exchange for a reduction in their tuition fees (around 10-15%). No cash payments are made. Instead, the amount is credited toward the amount due on the tuition fees for the semester.

University work grant opportunities include working as monitors in computer labs, assistants in the library, bookstore, finance department, admissions office, and student life. Job placement priority is given to permanent students. For more information, please contact: financialaid@madrid.slu.edu

For students wishing to supplement their finances, citizens of non-European Union countries holding a student card are now allowed to work off campus for up to twenty hours a week. These jobs require some degree of fluency in Spanish.

Students will also find opportunities in Madrid for jobs tutoring English, other foreign languages, and the sciences.
