THIS WEEK IN MADRID

Touristy, but insider’s know that the Museo del Jamón offers food and drink (and, of course, jamón) at great prices. In Madrid, there are five locations—the most central are on Calle Alcalá, 155 (Metro Opera) and Gran Vía, 72 (Metro Plaza España or Santo Domingo).

¡Rebajas! Just about every shop in town is holding its post-Christmas sales: this is a good week to stroll down Calle Serrano, Madrid’s most famous street for boutiques and high-end shopping.

Dracula on stage—and in Spanish. Tickets  start at 15€, at the Teatro Marquina. C/ Prim, 11 · Metro: Banco de España.

Movie: The Descendants. Golden Globes winner -- Best Drama Movie, Best Actor (G. Clooney). Plus 5 nominations.
