| SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS |
Special Bookstore Hours: Until the 16th of September, the bookstore will be open with expanded hours from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for book purchase, exchange and refund.
Residency Cards: Will you be studying at SLU Madrid for more than one semester? If so, remember that you have THIRTY (30) days after entering the EU to apply for your residency card. The Spanish government takes seriously documentation for non-Spanish citizens. Please make certain that your documents are up-to-date and in order. For instructions on how to renew your student resident card ("tarjeta de estudiante”), please consult the Residency Cards section of our website.
All SLU Madrid returning students should stop by Student Life before Friday, September 16 to renew their student ID card and pick up their new Sanitas card. If an emergency arises and you do not have your Sanitas card with you, you will have to pay for medical services before treatment. The Office of Student Life is located on the ground floor of Padre Rubio Hall.
Seniors! If you will be completing your degree this fall, please fill out the Application for Degree (BS Business Admin or All Other Majors) and take it to the Registrar's Office (or send it via email: registrar-madrid@slu.edu) by Thursday, Sept. 15! If you have questions about your requirements, please contact your academic advisor immediately.
Auditions and Crew Sign-Up for the Fall 2011 theatre Production, Uncle Vanya (by Anton Chekhov) will be held Monday and Tuesday, September 12 & 13, at 7:00 pm in the Student Lounge (in the basement level of Padre Rubio Hall). All are welcome. No previous experience necessary. If any questions, please contact Professor and Director Cary Barney (cbarney1@slu.edu).
Campus Climate: Please keep in mind that in compliance with Spanish law, smoking is prohibited on the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus. Also, within classrooms, computer lab and library, no food or drink (other than water) is allowed.

English Language Teaching / Volunteer as an English Language Teacher in our Community ESL program: Volunteer teachers work in pairs and are responsible for preparing, planning and teaching their own classes (although help is readily provided if needed!).
