SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS / The local Soup Kitchen sponsored by Franciscan Sisters has recently contacted us because they are in urgent need of hands-on volunteers and financial donations due to the current economic crisis.  As a result, the amount of meals they provide every day has gone from 120 to nearly 300.  Volunteers are especially needed on weekends from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm.  If interested in helping out, please contact Ana Aizpún, Campus Minister in Padre Rubio Hall or at aaizpun@slu.edu.  If you would like to donate money, you may do so specifying that it is for that particular cause at the Office of Finance in Padre Rubio Hall.

Campus Climate: Please keep in mind… (a) In compliance with Spanish law, smoking is prohibited on the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus.  (b) No food or beverage (other than water) is allowed in classrooms, the library and computer labs.  (c)  The Madrid Campus recycles.  Please use the appropriate bins in the cafeteria and in the outdoor patio behind Padre Rubio Hall.

Sunday Catholic Masses/ There are many Catholic parishes in the immediate neighborhood of the SLU-Madrid Campus, including the Parroquia San Bruno (Spanish language).  Also, Our Lady of Mercy offers a Mass each Sunday in English.
