Without this notice, your spot will be made available to other Fall 2011 students who are applying for University housing.
Congratulations to those chosen to be Campus Ambassadors for the 2011/2012 academic year! Representing five different countries, they are Katherine Espinosa, Gabriela García, Marina Guajardo, Diana Lipcan, Siboney Molina, Ciara Pratt, Allison Rollins, Chrissy Rosado, Eminio Sulaiman, and Alexandra Zirkelbach.
Work Grant: The Financial Aid department is now accepting Administrative Support Scholarship applications for the upcoming summer sessions as well as for the next academic year (Fall 2011/Spring 2012) >>
The Division of Language and Literature´s 9th annual English Graduate Student Conference, "Forming Identity, Transforming Space," will take place on the 29th and 30th of April in the Madrid Campus Library and Padre Rubio Hall. The conference will include a keynote address by Linda A. Kinnahan, Professor of English, Duquesne University on Friday at 1:00 pm (location TBA), as well as paper presentations by our MA in English students and by graduate students from universities around the world. On Tuesday, April 12, the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus will host two sessions of “World Perspectives,” a youth initiative which brings together young people from different countries and cultural backgrounds to analyse the international news media and contrast the various ways in which different outlets can portray the same issues and events >>
Attention All Students: On Wednesday and Thursday, April 13 and 14 (1:00-3:00 pm & 5:30-6:30 pm), Father Reale, SLU-Madrid rector, will host a series of open houses in his office (Manresa Hall, ground floor) to discuss some exciting news about the expansion of the campus. Come and share your ideas about what you would do with additional space!
World Premiere! This Spring's theatre production is The Millenials, an original play by SLU-Madrid student Cathie Smith. Reflecting the preoccupations of young professionals in the working world, The Millenials combines sarcastic wit, romantic desperation, and all of the uncertainties of our times. The play will be presented Wednesday and Thursday, April 13 and 14, at 8:00 pm, and also at 12 noon on Thursday the 14th, at the Colegio Mayor Elias Ahuja (c/ Rector Royo Villanova, 4) [see the map here]. Come support our own budding playwright and an intrepid cast and crew.
