Atlas Week
This week Saint Louis University, both in St. Louis USA and in Madrid, celebrates Atlas Week. Reflecting SLU-Madrid’s position as an international higher educational institution, the Atlas Week theme is “Global Justice: Meeting Basic Human Needs through Education.” Scheduled events include lectures and panel presentations by guest speakers as well as by SLU-Madrid faculty. Also there are student-led events highlighting issues relevant to being a global citizen.
Atlas Week events are listed below. In addition, each day this week, the Science Department will be featuring student posters (in the cafeteria and in the student lounge) focused on the topic of “Global Justice: Meeting Basic Human Needs.” And, each day between 2:00 and 2:30 pm, Nursing students will be hosting an information table about “E-cigarettes” and the relationship between cholesterol and fructose. They will also be available in the PRH Patio (or, if bad weather, in PRH 11) to take the vital signs of anyone who is interested. PRH Patio.
