Loyola Ignatian Pilgrimage Retreat (Friday morning, March 11 – Sunday evening, March 13) / open to students of all faiths. Taking place in the beautiful Basque country of northern Spain at the birthplace of Ignatius of Loyola , the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), the retreat provides a great opportunity to deepen one’s self-understanding while also learning more about Ignatius’ life and how his values and way of understanding reality have shaped Jesuit activities, including education, ever since. The return trip to Madrid on Sunday includes a visit to the castle where Francis Xavier (Ignatius´ university friend who became one of the original Jesuits) grew up. Because of generous benefactors, the total retreat fee (including transportation, housing and great meals!) is only 90 €, half of the actual cost. Sign-ups continue through the end of February in the Finance Office.
Each semester Student Life offers a rich variety of campus ministry activities & service opportunities.
