Thank you! Last week’s Bake Sale sponsored by Campus Ministry raised 108 € for the local Franciscan Soup Kitchen where many of our students volunteer in helping to serve over 300 meals a day. >>
Ethiopian food will be among the options in the cafeteria on Friday, the 4th, from Noon until 3:00 pm · Ethiopian lunch tickets can be purchased ahead of time for 5 € from students Jaime Levy or Leslie Lilford in the Student Life Office, or in the cafeteria on Friday. All proceeds will be donated to the NGO Madre Selva which sponsors a school in Ethiopa where SLU-Madrid students volunteer each August.
Attention all NON-EU passport holders: In an effort to facilitate your tarjeta de estudiante renewal process, please fill out this form and turn a copy in to Student Life no later than Friday, February 4. For assistance, contact Ariadne Ferro, preferably between 3.30 and 5.30 pm on Monday through Thursday, or between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm on Fridays. Students may also make an appointment by email (aferro@slu.edu).

Interested in another chance to take part in Student Life Day Trips to Segovia and Toledo? Student Life is planning a second excursion to Segovia on Saturday, February 5 and another to Toledo on Sunday, February 6. To secure your spot, sign up and pay the trip fee (40€) in the Finance Office by Wednesday, February 2nd. (A minimum of 20 students is required for each excursion to take place.)
Each semester Student Life offers a rich variety of campus ministry activities & service opportunities.
Operación Inglés – Are you interested in working as a summer camp teacher/ monitor in Spain this July? To sign up for an interview, come the Language Teaching Center (PRH 1st floor beside the elevator) and write you name down on the interview list posted on the door, or write to hbinns@slu.edu. Stuck on your homework? Need help with your English? With your Spanish? The English Writing Center and the Spanish Language Center are located in the entry area of Manresa Hall. The schedule of the English Writing Center is: Mondays & Wednesdays, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, and Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm. The Spanish Language Center is open Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and Tuesday & Thursdays, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. |
