Clothing Drive:  Student Life will be collecting donations in front of the Student Life office during the month of December for distribution at our nearby Soup Kitchen.   Winter clothes are especially needed and appreciated.

Namibia Trip Interest Meeting: Monday, December 11, 1:30 – 2:30 pm · PRH 13 · Learn more about joining the African Politics class in this life-time opportunity led by Professor Knut Roder.  At the meeting, Professor Roder will explain the goals and structure of this educational adventure planned to take place during next April’s Holy Week break. Minimum number of students needed for the trip is 10.  The price will be approximately 2,400 euros.

SGA Teacher Excellence Awards: The Student Government Association (SGA) of SLU-Madrid will be presenting Teacher Excellence Awards to two faculty members as part of the SGA’s Faculty Appreciation Day on Wednesday, December 15th.  Students are invited to nominate from one to seven professors through the on-line survey at this link.  As part of its celebration of faculty on the 15th, SGA-Madrid will be providing free pizza in the Student Lounge from noon to 5:00 pm.

Fall 2010 Course Evaluations:  Please complete the on-line course evaluation for all of your courses! To access the Course Evaluation Form, log in to mySLU to access Banner Self-Service. From the Student tab click the Registration link, then either the Student Schedule Detail or the Active Registration link. Library materials on loan must be returned and outstanding fines paid by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21st in order to avoid holds being placed on transcripts.

Façade of Padre Arrupe Hall: During the next several weeks, work will be underway on the exterior of Padre Arrupe Hall, sometimes resulting in the disruption of normal human traffic patterns. 

Operación Inglés 2011 Job Opportunity:  If you are interested in working as a monitor in one of SLU-Madrid's summer language camps next July, please sign up for an interview on the door of the Language Teaching Center (PRH, 1st floor). It's very hard work, but the pay is good and working with adolescents is always fun!
