SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

COURSE EVALUATIONS: The course evaluation period for Spring 2010 concludes at the end of Tuesday, May 4.  (No evaluations can be submitted once final exams begin on the 5th.)  Evaluations can be submitted at http://evaluations.madrid.slu.edu from any computer with an Internet connection.  Students will need their Student Banner ID Number and their birth date in order to access the classes that they have taken this semester.

Celebrate Christmas in May - donate clothes today! Don’t want to cart all your clothing back home after the semester?!  Show a little holiday spirit and donate clothes to those in need.  Drop off clean, gently worn clothing and shoes in the donation boxes outside of Student Life until May 12.  Look for the Christmas wrapped boxes!

Congratulations to those chosen to be next year's Campus Ambassadors!  Representing a wide array of countries, they are Marta Fernández de Arroyabe, Leslie Ford, James Guzmán, Melanie Held, Sophio Kiknadze, Kristin Lagman, Siboney Molina, Randa Medina, Paula Móvil and Kristin Sunday.

Congratulations as well to SLU-Madrid engineering students now at SLU in St. Louis, Ángel Hernández and Jesús Domínguez,  who won a gold medal in this year’s RoboGames competition where over 600 participants from around the world competed in over 50 different events like combat robots, walking humanoids, soccer bots, sumo bots, and even androids that do kung-fu.

Expanded Exam-time Library and Cafeteria Hours: Both the library and the cafeteria are observing expanded hours during the final exam period. >>

Need help with your final papers?  The English Writing Assistance Center will be open during the following times:  Monday, the 3rd, 10am -4pm; Tuesday, the 4th, 12-3:30pm; Wednesday, the 5th, closed; Thursday, the 6th, 12-3:30pm.   Also, the Center will reopen for Summer Session I on May 19.  Please check the Billiken News for the summer schedule.

Library materials and fines: The last day for undergraduates to return library materials out on loan this semester and to pay any outstanding library fines or fees is Thursday, May 13th (2:00 pm). No transcripts will be issued to students owing materials and/or fines and fees.
