Saint Louis University
Madrid Campus
|

Eligibility: U.S. study abroad students from U.S. colleges and universities.
Origin and Purpose: The fund which provides financial aid to exceptional U.S. undergraduate students, was generously endowed by the parents and friends of the late Rob Tieken, and his wife, Cristina, an alumna of both the Saint Louis University Madrid and Missouri campuses.
In his work in our student union, Rob became the epitome of what our Jesuit campus represents. Even though he was only employed on a part-time basis, he spent much of his workdays sitting in our small snack bar area befriending students and helping them with whatever they needed. His commitment to others was unparalleled. As a newcomer to living abroad himself, Rob understood better than most the value of studying at the Madrid campus. He was both a witness and advocate of just how much the experience matures even the most sure-handed student, or how it can develop undiscovered interests and talents.
