Every year Saint Louis University organizes the following events in order to achieve a better and greater knowledge of the Spanish culture.
The Conversos and Moriscos conference gathers international scholars who through their research on different writers, painters, etc., and their pieces of work, try to evaluate if these writers, painters, etc., were converts. Interesting research is presented each year about different Spanish personalities of that time, such as Cervantes, for example.
The Festival de la Canción Española, is more than just a Festival, is also a course where singers as relevant as Teresa Berganza share their knowledge of the Spanish song with singers from all over the world. The Festival tries to promote a better and deeper knowledge of the Spanish song. It tries to give more relevance to the Spanish song in order for it to be at the same level in conservatories and universities as the music from other nationalities.
Every year, Saint Louis University Madrid Campus organizes two summer camps for 12 to 18 year olds. These children and teenagers learn English and participate in different activities in an English environment, which will be an asset for their future.
