  Fernando Abilleira Aerospace Engineer My name is Fernando Abilleira and I wanted to send you my updated information. I was told that you were compiling a SLU Madrid Alumni directory and I wanted to applaud this initiative. It would be great to be able to reconnect with old friends and classmates. It would also be a good thing from a networking point of view. I have great memories from both my two years at SLU Madrid and from the time I spent at the home campus in Saint Louis. I graduated from SLU with a B.S in Aerospace Engineering in 1999 and with a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 2001. I married another SLU alumni (Sarah Hubbard Abilleira) that graduated from the Allied Health School. We actually got married at St. Francis Xavier Church of Saint Louis University in 2003. I am working as a trajectory analyst for the Mars Exploration Program Office at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. Right now, I am working on a mission called Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) which will be launching to Mars in 2009. My wife Sarah works as a Physical Therapist in the Rehabilitation Department of Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, CA. Last year we were blessed with a wonderful baby boy we named Owen Michael. He is now 1 year old and growing really fast. |
