Visa Information

As of June 15, 2010, students applying for long stay visas at Spanish consulates in the United States will be asked to present a FBI background check. Background checks can be ordered by following the instructions at:  http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm and may take up to 15 weeks for processing. Background checks must also have an apostille from the Hague to be official. In most cases, you can obtain this apostille by contacting your Secretary of State's office.
