1 All U.S. citizens, except those with official residency outside the United States, pay the dollar equivalent of the prices given above.
For billing purposes, the Bursar's Office on the Saint Louis University, Missouri Campus will convert the euro-based tuition and fees per term into dollars at the dollar/euro exchange rate published in the Wall Street Journal on the dates listed below:
For Summer 2008: March 19, 2008
For Fall 2008: July 2, 2008
For Spring 2009: November 13, 2008
Tuition fees include payment for a Sanitas medical insurance policy provided to each registered undergraduate for the length of the term.
2 Students enrolled in the fall and/or spring semester taking more than 18 credits pay, in addition to the full-time flat price indicated, the part-time credit price shown in the table for each additional credit taken.
3 As a U.S. university abroad, we dedicate important resources to providing all students the most complete services available anywhere. In our experience, we have found that continuing U.S. resident students, those who have completed at least 24 credit hours over consecutive terms on our campus, require fewer services (i.e. housing, travel, medical assistance, and so on), given their familiarity with the campus, city, country, and language. Our policy then is to discount their tuition.
Continuing transfer students who have completed 24 credit hours over consecutive terms on the Madrid Campus will be eligible for the discounted tuition rate.
New degree-seeking students (U.S. citizens) pay their tuition fees directly to Saint Louis University in Missouri. The Bursar's Office there sends tuition bills directly to students. They do not, however, bill you for your housing in Madrid. Housing is billed from, and paid directly to, the Madrid Campus.
U.S. citizens with permanent residence outside the U.S. who do not apply for U.S. financial aid may pay their tuition fees directly to the Madrid campus (at the going euro rate). The student must indicate this in the application form and provide proof of residency outside the U.S.
