Spanish and Spanish Immersion
Students interested in immersing themselves in the Spanish language have a variety of options, even if they are not Spanish majors. The campus offers dozens of courses taught completely in Spanish (history, philosophy, literature, or psychology, for example) which fulfill degree requirements at SLU as well as many other U.S. universities. Our small class sizes and interactive education philosophy guarantee that visiting students receive the attention they need when studying in a foreign language.
Students can:
- Live with Spanish families
- Take all their courses in Spanish, or complement their Spanish studies with classes in English in order to keep on track with their degree programs
- Keep on track with their major and minor
- Enroll in a variety of Spanish language and literature classes
Students may immerse themselves in the Spanish language by taking any of the following courses which are taught in Spanish (see Banner for specific courses offered each semester):
