The Madrid Campus of Saint Louis University offers a fully accredited nursing program, offering visiting students a great opportunity to study abroad while still fulfilling their university’s requirements. In addition to nursing courses, students may choose from a wide variety of classes in the Arts & Sciences, Humanities, and Languages to round out their schedules.
The nursing program is accredited in the U.S. by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The Madrid Campus is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Region of Madrid.
Please note that students enrolling in classes with clinicals must have a documented language proficiency of SPAN-110 and SPAN-115.

While attending classes in Madrid, Public Health students can immerse themselves in Spanish culture, study the Spanish language, and interact with students from around the world. Students increase their cultural awareness and competence of diverse populations in a setting that supports language acquisition and mastery. More specifically, specialized courses are available, such as Spanish for Health Science, to develop a professional level of Spanish outside conversational language. These customized educational experiences will prepare future public health practitioners who are tolerant and competent to care for diverse populations by giving them first hand experiences during their educational formation.
Public Health courses on the Madrid Campus are accredited, like those of the College of Public Health on our campus in St. Louis (USA), by the Council on Education for Public Health. The Madrid Campus is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Region of Madrid.
