Graduation

Apply to Graduate:

• You must apply for graduation by the second week of the semester in which you intend to graduate.
  
• Fall graduation applications are due September 15th.
  
• Spring graduation applications are due January 25th.

Fill out the form carefully:

• Choose the correct form:
  BS in Business Administration
  All other majors
  
  
• Enter your name as you want it printed on your diploma. Your name will be printed on your diploma and in the graduation program exactly as written on this form. If you want your diploma to list a middle name, second last name, accents, etc. they must be entered on this form.
  
  
• Enter the address of where you want the diploma mailed. Keep in mind that diplomas are normally mailed 6-8 weeks following the degree conferral date as shown on your transcript in Banner.
  

Apostilles of the Hague (Apostillas de la Haya)

If you are interested in having your diploma and/or transcript validated by a foreign (non-US) government, you may need to obtain an Apostille of the Hague. Check with the Department/Ministry of Education in your home country for the specific requirements. Those applying for civil servant positions in Spain must have their degrees validated (homologado), which requires Apostilles for both your official transcript and your diploma. There is a $10 fee per Apostille, please make payment at the Madrid Finance Office at the end of the semester right before you complete your studies and bring the receipt to the Registrar Office together with the completed Application for Apostille of the Hague.

Graduation Fee

All graduates are required to pay the graduation fee, which is billed directly to your account. This fee must be paid in order to obtain a diploma. Please contact Ms. Victoria Villarreal, Director of SLU Madrid Campus Office of Finance, (villar@slu.edu), for more information. There is no charge to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
