Political Science - International Relations
Requirements for the Minor
A minor in Political Science may be attained by taking 18 hours (six courses) distributed either in:
A General Track:
- Three courses in the four major subfields of Political Science:
- American Politics
- Comparative Politics
- International Relations
- Political Thought
- Three Political Science electives
*One of the six courses must be at the 400 level.
OR
A Specialized International Relations Track:
- Three courses in International Relations, selected from the following:
- POLS-100 Introduction to Politics
- POLS-160 Introduction to International Politics
- POLS-252 Introduction to African Politics
- POLS-264 International Terrorism
- POLS-351 Rebirth of Democracy
- POLS-356 Political Processes in Latin America
- POLS-465 The Use of Force in International Relations
- POLS-454 or POLS-461
- Two Political Science electives
