THEO-310 Old Testament: Prophets
Prerequisite: THEO-100 and one 200-level theology course
Curriculum: Fulfills theology requirement for A&S and Business; Honors credit available for eligible students
Description: Prophecy in ancient Israel. An examination of the role of the biblical prophet. A study of the texts related to prophecy in the books of Samuel and Kings and a survey of the prophetic books in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. An exegetical analysis of selected texts from the books of Amos, Hosea, Isaiah, Micah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel.
