Description: Bienvenidos a la vanguardia. The most challenging and remarkable period for prose and poetry writers in Spain, around 1928-1936, when all the arts and the “ismos” flourished. Selected novels and short stories by Ramón Gómez de la Serna, Gabriel Miró, Carmen the Burgos, and José Ortega y Gasset, whose ideas are essential to understand the aesthetics of contemporary literature in Spain.
