Focus on the canonic modernismo of Rubén Darío; its rewriting by Delmira Agustini and Alfonsina Storni; the clash of international avant-garde techniques and Latin American conditions in Vicente Huidobro, César Vallejo, Jorge Luis Borges and Pablo Neruda; the turn to politically committed poetry in Neruda and Vallejo, and contemporary tendencies in Octavio Paz and Nicanor Parra.
