SPAN-421 Spanish-English in Translation

Prerequisite: SPAN-410 and SPAN-415 or equivalent and ENGL-190
Curriculum: Fulfills Spanish Major or Minor; IAS Certificate Elective; Cross-listed with ENGL-302
Description: Finding what’s lost in translation. Intensive practice from Spanish to English and from English to Spanish of texts from the fields of literature, film, business, law, computers and economics. In-depth focus on writing, editing and proofreading skills, with some emphasis on translation theory and discourse analysis.
