SPAN-335 Spanish Literature I: From Cid to Golden Age

Description: ¡Que buen vasallo sería si tuviera buen señor! Study of early masterpieces sprung from oral and popular traditions, such as El Mío Cid, El Libro del Buen Amor, and La Celestina; Renaissance poets such as Garcilaso and Fray Luis de León; the picaresque fiction of El Lazarillo de Tormes, Cervantes's Don Quijote; and baroque authors such as Quevedo, Góngora, Lope de Vega and Calderón de la Barca.
