Description: The Art of the Possible. The development of a distinctive political realm in the history of Western political thought, from ancient times to the modern era. Analysis of political theories as more-or-less coherent systems of thought that assume often unexplored social underpinnings. Emphasis on the theorization of the relationship between politics and society.
