PHIL-476 Spanish Philosophy

Prerequisite: PHIL-105 and PHIL-205
Curriculum: Fulfills upper-division philosophy requirement for A&S; IAS Certificate elective
Description: An in-depth look at the Spanish philosophical tradition. Philosophers studied span twenty centuries of Spanish thought, and include Seneca, Quintilian, Isidore of Seville, Ibn Rushd, Maimonides, Llull, Vives, Vitoria, Las Casas, Suárez, Unamuno and Ortega y Gasset. Reading knowledge of Spanish helpful, but not required. (3 Credits)
