HIST-393 Special Topics: From Reconquest to Conquest

Description: The end of the Middle Ages and the opening of a new era of exploration: the transformation from medieval kingdoms to a world empire, the change of the late medieval society into a dynamic network of explorers, conquerors and settlers. An analysis of the evolution of the late medieval society of the three cultures, the unification of Spain and the mindset of the conquistadores in the New World. (3 Credits)
