Description: Analysis of the formation of a national identity in Spain from antiquity to the present. Focus on the political, cultural, religious and social circumstances that have shaped the Spanish character throughout history. Treatment of the development of the notion of Spain, the consolidation of the national state, and the regionalist movements that have emerged over the last two centuries.
