Description: The dynamics of discovery. An exploration of the cultural interaction between Europeans and the indigenous peoples in Asia, Africa, and the Americas, from the early days of exploration through the era of colonization. Focus on the missionary enterprise, the socio-economic impact of the European conquest, and the transformations produced in European societies.
