FIN-301 Principles of Finance
Prerequisite: ACCT-220, DSCI-207 and ECON-190; co-requisite: ACCT-222
Curriculum: Business core requirement; honors credit available for eligible students
Description: Money matters. Introduction to financial decision-making in the firm, with focus on choices and decision criteria for sources and uses of funds. Emphasis on financial analysis and investment decisions: ratios, relevance of accounting statement data, use of debt and equity, investment theory and practice, and firms' market capitalization.
