Course Objectives
: The objective of the course is to focus on the necessary grammar, listening and reading skills in order to pass the three sections of the TOEFL. TOEFL taking strategies are an integral part of the course.

Course Description: This course examines the techniques needed to score 530 or more points on the TOEFL. All the sample tests used in class are from Educational Testing Service and the timed exercises are from real exams.

Grading Policy: Since this is a Pass/Fail course, the passing grade is a 530 composite score on the institutional TOEFL exam. However, attendance and class participation are of major importance. More than three unexcused absences due to missing class or an accumulation of late arrivals may result in an automatic “No Pass”. The same “No Pass” policy holds true for academic dishonesty, which includes any dishonest behavior carried out when submitting for academic evaluation assignments and exams required for validation of the student’s learning.
