Description: The age of prose fiction. An examination of the major British novelists from the 1830s through the 1890s and the culture out of which they wrote. Novelists studied include the Brontës, Dickens, Thackeray, Eliot and Hardy. Optional research excursion to the British Library in London. (3 Credits)
