ENGL-333 Literature of the African Diaspora
Syllabus

Prerequisite: ENGL-190; recommended, at least one 200-level English course.
Curriculum: Fulfills upper-division literature requirement for A&S and Business; fulfills cultural diversity requirement for A&S and Engineering.
Description: The Black Atlantic experience. An introduction to the writings of African, African-American and African-European writers that span nearly three hundred years. In addition to classic slave narratives, authors studied include Chinua Achebe, Mariama Ba, Camara Laye, Toni Morrison and Richard Wright.
