ENGL-320 British Literary Traditions I
Syllabus
Prerequisite: ENGL-190; recommended, at least one 200-level English course.
Curriculum: Fulfills upper-division literature requirement for A&S and Business.
Description: From Beowulf to Blake, a study of representative works in light of major literary, historical and cultural developments in medieval, renaissance, restoration and eighteenth-century British literature, with special attention to writing about literature. Strongly recommended for students considering study in English beyond the 300-level. Optional research excursion to the British Library in London.
