EDI-435 Intercultural Seminar and Practicum with International Students
Curriculum: Education elective; required for students enrolled in the service learning project teaching English to children in Peru and for candidates teaching at the Madrid Campus, Summer 2009, English camps in Spain; honors credit available for eligible students.
Description: Survival skills for teaching English as a second language overseas, including curriculum design. Intensive focus on the background, values and assumptions of non-U.S. educational settings and their English-language teaching practices. Includes teaching practicum and prepares students for teaching in University-sponsored programs across Spain and around the world.
