EAS-105 Introduction to Oceanography

Curriculum: Fulfills natural science requirement for A&S, Business and Engineering
Description: Chemical and physical properties of sea water, waves, currents, tidal forces and tides, interaction of land and ocean in coastal environments, marine biology and ocean resources. Integrated into the course is a trip to Cabrera National Park (Balearic Islands), which includes kayaking to observe the coastal morphology and scuba diving/snorkeling to study marine biology.

Mandatory Trip: Menorca (Balearic Islands) - estimated cost, €540*; fees must be paid by first day of class.
