Description: Man as a message-making bi-ped, without feathers. The burgeoning field of communication studies, focusing on essential theories and concepts. Emphasis both on interpersonal communication (language, small groups, non-verbal behavior); mass media, particularly popular culture (celebrities, new media); and political communication (media-State relations, elections).
