Modern organic chemistry of aliphatic and aromatic compounds. Study of the structure and properties of organic molecules, and transition states; kinetics of reaction and reaction mechanisms: free radical substitution reactions of alkanes; stereochemistry, nucleophilic aliphatic substitution, and reactions of alcohols, ethers and epoxides; alkenes; electrophilic free radical, stereoelective and stereospecific reactions.
