English Language Assistantships
Saint Louis University-Madrid partners with Catholic and secular private schools in the Madrid area to provide English assistants. Conversation assistants (auxiliares) provide oral input and practice as a supplement to elementary and high school students' English language classes. In addition to the great experience and the interaction with students and faculty of Spanish schools, the language assistants receive compensation.

English Language Tutoring Opportunities
Families sometimes call the university seeking English speakers to provide language lessons or to babysit their children. Career Services maintains a list of students interested in providing these services. Classes traditionally take place in family homes, and Saint Louis University and the Career Services Office have no relationship with these individuals. Interested students arrange their own terms of employment, including meeting times, venues and payment. If you wish to be put on the list of English Teachers/Babysitters, email bolsatrabajo-madrid@slu.edu.
